(Perhaps the OP hadn't thought this through. For example: archive support, FTP client, temporary panel and network browser are all implemented as plugins included in the standard distribution of Far. In any case, the OP also said that he/she doesn't want to install any "cloud software", which would rule out FileRun as well as most (if not all) other suggestions for a web file manager. The functionality of Far Manager is greatly extended by external DLL modules plugins (made possible by a special set of interfaces the Plugins API). It was more a personal statement of the kind "If one already has ownCloud/Nextcloud for other reasons, there's little reason to install FileRun in addition". I didn't really recommend ownCloud/Nextcloud to the OP. Just curious: are you connected to FileRun in some way? So far, in every post, you've mentioned FileRun. Now, you have successfully uploaded your files. Its possible to select files, images and videos from a server folder and upload them from your computer. Simply, click on the files you need to upload and drag them to the wp-content/uploads/ folder. RESPONSIVE FileManager is a free open-source filemanager image manager stand-alone and plugin for TinyMCE 4, CKEditor and CLEditor. Navigate to the wp-content/uploads/ folder. The OP asked for the best "file manager". Launch your FTP client, then enter your login details and connect to the server. Here's a technical advantage (if the user experience is not an obvious advantage for you): FileRun unzips in a 22MB folder, while Nextcloud which doesn't have even half of the file management features unzips in a massive 123 MB folder. Neogeo said: You comment on FileRun's ability to display a KML file, and still recommend ownCloud/Nextcloud with all the bloatware (Calendar, Contacts, Audio/Video Conferencing(!) and chat).
